The Kansas GTX walking boot has been in production by Meindl for over 15 years. As trusted shoemakers since 1683, Meindl’s walking boots are always of the finest quality and reliability. In keeping with tradition, all of Meindl's footwear to this day are hand-crafted in the Bavarian factory by skilled professionals.
The 3 season Kansas GTX is made from waxed Nubuck leather uppers and a rubber toe-cap giving you protection across a wide variety of terrains. The boot includes various technologies to optimise your walking performance including, a GORE-TEX membrane for waterproofing, an Air-Active footbed to control moisture levels, a digafix lacing system for the perfect hold, and compression pads around the ankle to minimise pressure when hill-walking. In addition, the Kansas GTX walking boot is fitted with a double density rubber sole providing excellent traction and shock absorption.

Meindl Grade B - Supportive boots made using high quality leather. The sole units are stiffer than an A/B grade boot and they provide more stability and underfoot support. Suitable for demanding hill-walks as well as lower level paths in the Alps or Pyrenees during the summer.
Nubuck Leather with Wax - Nubuck leather with wax is a specially treated leather that blends the soft feel of nubuck with the added durability and water resistance of wax treatment. It's a great balance of comfort and protection - perfect for Irish trails, bogs, and weather.
Gore-Tex® Waterproofing - the world's leading waterproof and breathable fabric technology. GORE-TEX Performance Comfort Footwear is designed to be highly adaptable to changing weather conditions and versatile for a wide range of activities. Thanks to their innovative construction, they are an ideal solution for the widest range of activities and changing weather conditions. Water stays on the outside of the footwear while perspiration from the feet can easily escape from the inside of the footwear.
Air-Active® Footbeds - Meindl's Soft Print footbeds are Air-Active for moisture absorbency and feature a Vildona dry sole underside, which pulls moisture away from the foot creating a good foot climate as you walk. Also featuring poron and memory foam, they offer comfort and natural shock absorbency.
DIGAfix® System - A Digafix lacing system creates the perfect hold for your foot and is easily adjusted when hill-walking for optimum support and security. Flexible, pressure-free diagonal fixed positioning in the heel and instep.
Meindl Multigrip Rubber grip sole with PU wedge - Offers dependable grip and cushioned comfort. The rubber outsole ensures traction on varied terrain, while the lightweight PU wedge absorbs shock and reduces fatigue - ideal for long walks and everyday wear.
